AOLG Student Represents Guam at Congressional Art Contest
Academy of Our Lady Sophomore student, Jasmine Sun, was selected to represent Guam at the June 24, 2019 Congressional Art Contest Reception held at the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center in Washington, D.C.. Jasmine takes extracurricular art classes online and learned about the competition. She created her piece entitled “Through Blue Colored Glasses” to help raise awareness for autism. When informed of her selection, Jasmine stated that she felt very surprised, but excited and happy as well. According to her, “I had a lot of fun and I’m definitely looking forward to submitting another piece for this school year’s competition.”
