Academy of Our Lady of Guam Senior Cari Ann Cabral recently garnered second place winner of the Constitution Quiz contest associated with the Federal Judiciary's 2017 "Constitution Day/Citizenship Day" Celebration activities. Twenty (20) Academy Seniors participated in the Quiz contest and each successfully completed all ten questions and submitted a paragraph on "As a Citizen of the island of Guam, what does the Constitution mean to you?/How will you create a more perfect union." Kudos to the Academy Seniors who participated, especially CarriAnn Cabral who placed in the contest.

JA AWARD 2017

Senior students from the Academy of Our Lady of Guam recently won second place in the "Junior Achievement (JA) of Guam Company of the Year". The Collar Couture Team, sponsored by Triple J Enterprises, sold handcrafted bow ties to help benefit Guam Animals in Need (GAIN). GAIN noted that each bow tie purchased meant one-day's worth of food for a pet. Together, the students donated $500 to GAIN. Pictured left to right: Ariana Felisan (who received Third Place JA Marketing VP of the Year), Rubeah Jung (who received JA Finance VP of the Year), Kris Lujan (Triple J Corporate Sponsor Advisor), Jenna Jones (who received JA President of the Year), and Jesse Bordallo (who tied with Christine Joy Grino (not shown), a Junior at the Academy, for Third Place JA Production VP of the Year.) All four students will represent JA Guam at the Asia Pacific Company of the Year competition in Tokyo from February 19 to 24, 2017.

The Academy of Our Lady of Guam High School recently inducted nineteen (19) new members into the school’s Camarin Chapter of the National Honor Society (NHS).  The National Honor Society is a national organization established to recognize outstanding high school students.  NHS serves to honor students who have demonstrated excellence in the areas of scholarship, leadership, service, and character.
